Sir Michael Thigpen

“A bottle of Rhennish wine, a gallant song, and a new doublet - with such weapons does a true gentleman go to war.”

Sir Michael's life diverged from his noble heritage after witnessing the brutality of the Sack of Limoges. Though inordinately gifted with the sword and famed for having won the Cambridge jousting tourney at the age of 17, his name was marred by debauchery and self-indulgence upon his return to England, where he renounced the virtues of war in favor of a life of dissipation. Court scandals, debauchery, and numerous adulterous affairs resulted in an ignoble end, as he was found slain in a London back alley, his potential wasted, his promise unfulfilled.
